Modafinil

Home - Modafinil

Modafinil is most commonly used to encourage patients to stay awake if they feel intense sleepiness during daytime or due to some sleeping problems. It also helps people to stay awake during work shifts if their work schedule coincides with the normal sleeping time. However, this medicine is not supposed to cure sleeping problems or help you get rid of sleepiness caused by reasons other than those listed above. It should not be used by those who do not suffer from sleep disorders. This medicine works by changing the structure of neurotransmitters in the brain, which results in a feeling of wakefulness. It can be used to manage excess sleepiness in patients suffering from narcolepsy or sleep apnea among other sleep disorders.
